Rosemary Maina

Rosemary is a coach, mentor, trainer and founder of Enlightened You ltd. Her passion is fueled by knowing the influences surrounding life choices and the impact they have on living a fulfilled life. Her hunger to impact lives have seen her actively participate in mentorship and leadership programs. She takes every opportunity to inspire people to live their best life.

She has worked in the financial services sector where she modelled change by inspiring and mentoring her team to put their best foot forward. She is a respected and inspirational leader who improved productivity by developing her team, fostering team work, leading by example and ensuring work life balance. She strongly advocates for leadership that focuses on people and not just tasks. She is also passionate about developing all round individuals who live fulfilling lives.

She sits on a board of a local Non-governmental organization as a board member and program lead for the education program. The program provides scholarship for children from disadvantaged backgrounds to enable them access quality high school education. She developed a strategic plan for the program and oversees its implementation. She actively runs a leadership training and psychosocial support program for these students and their parents or guardians. She is also a board member in a secondary school. She is a great believer in the power of education, continuous learning and personal development.

Building on her professional background in Nursing, psychology and business management; Her aspiration is to help teenagers make good life choices and develop into all round individuals and leaders in their own capacity. Help young adults and the middle aged navigate the path to greater self-awareness, confidence, personal impact and to operate to maximum capacity in every aspect of life. To achieve this, she runs training and coaching programs on self-leadership and team leadership to help people make transforming life choices.

Weru Mwangi

MA. (Business Leadership) Bsc (Financial Services), ACIB (UK), PhD candidate

Mr. Weru has over 20 years’ experience mainly in leadership, governance, banking and microfinance. During his banking career he held senior management positions in both branches and head office which included banking operations, trade finance, credit and training.

He has been involved in consulting, training and capacity building for the past 11 years which include holding the role of Training Manager at Equity Bank between 2008 and 2010. He has also worked as a trainer in Entrepreneurship, Governance & Leadership, Risk Management, Banking Operations, Credit and International Trade Finance at Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives, Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Kenya Institute of bankers and Metropol Corporation amongst others.

He has also doubled up as a part-time tutor and examiner specializing in lending and trade finance at Kenya Institute of Bankers since 2003 as well as part-time lecturer in business leadership and banking at PAC University, Management University of Africa and University of Sunderland @ Intel College.

Weru is currently pursuing PhD in Leadership and Management from Management University of Africa. He holds Master of Arts in Leadership (Business & Entrepreneurship) from Pan Africa Christian University and BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester’s Institute of Science & Technology. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) of England and a member of the Professional Trainers Association of Kenya.

Joseph Wokabi

MBA, BEd

Joseph Ndirangu Wokabi is a business development, financial management and corporate governance consultant with over 15 years’ experience in business development specifically consulting on product development, product portfolio management, product design, product differentiation and marketing. He is also well versed with credit risk management focusing on interest risk, liquidity risk and operational risk within financial institutions.

He has worked with leading financial institutions in Kenya including Cooperative Bank. During his banking career, he has held various positions in Business Development, operations and customer service and was responsible for the development of various Business Development and customer acquisition programmes. In conjunction with Credit Management they developed various risk management and products innovations resulting in balanced credit portfolio.

As a Branch manager in Cooperative Bank-Kenya Joseph led in the implementation of McKinsey Organizational and Financial Reengineering program. He has played key roles in the business development strategy formulation and implementation, operational management and control, monitoring and review of organizational processes, formulation and review of financial and credit policy for the bank. As a consultant for the past three years, Joseph has been involved in the training and development of capacity building programs for various Savings and credit cooperative societies, formulation of credit policies for various financial institutions, product and business development, enterprise risk management for various organizations.

Joseph is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance (Kenyatta University). He Holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Economics & Business Studies). He has been attending various short term courses on Financial Management, Digital Finance and Digital Banking to keep abreast with the dynamic financial sector.
