Rosemary is a passionate coach, authoritative speaker, dynamic trainer and consultant. She is a respected and inspirational leader with 14 years’ experience having worked for 10 years with leading insurance companies such as Jubilee Insurance, Madison Insurance and Direct-line Assurance. She held different leadership positions focusing on operational excellence, strategy development and implementation, customer experience and stakeholder management. She was awarded for demonstrating great and positive leadership, streamlining workflow processes through automation, enhancing controls, motivating and holding the team accountable.

She has great experience working with teams in small medium enterprises, corporates, government and non-profit organizations. She is well grounded on Self leadership skills, team leadership skills and corporate governance. She possesses sound working knowledge, varied training techniques and demonstrates strong business acumen. She is passionate about developing leaders who can empower their teams. Her goal is to develop leaders who are not only task focused but also people focused.

She has designed and facilitated a range of self-leadership programs such as public speaking, business presentation, personal branding, emotional intelligence, communication, conflict management, goal setting, personality profiling, customer experience and mental wellness. She facilitates team leadership programs such as managerial leadership skills, change leadership, performance management, supervisory skills, meeting management, strategy development & implementation. She has a wealth of experience in corporate governance through serving as a board member and facilitating training on leadership, corporate governance and board induction for corporates, government and non-profit organizations.

She is the founder of Enlightened You ltd a consultancy, training and coaching firm focusing on governance, strategy development & alignment, team leadership, self-leadership, and wellness. She also facilitates coaching sessions on career development, leadership, life skills and life transitions. She is an associate consultant with a number of consulting firms.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nairobi, a diploma in insurance from the chartered Insurance Institute in London and an MBA in organizational Leadership from Strathmore business school. She is a certified life coach by the American Union of NLP. She is also an executive board member in three institutions within the health and education sector.

Dr. Weru Mwangi

MA. (Business Leadership) Bsc (Financial Services), ACIB (UK), PhD candidate

Dr. Weru is a financial, leadership & governance expert with in-depth experience in commercial banking, risk management, leadership, strategy, governance, cooperative management and micro-finance spanning over 24 years gained in East Africa. He is a chartered banker and certified trainer. Dr. Mwangi has over 12 years training, teaching and consulting experience in finance, risk management, banking, microfinance, leadership, strategic and performance management gained with UMS, Alliance for Green Revolution of Africa, Metropol Corporation, Kenya Institute of Bankers, Kenya Union of Savings & Credit Co-operatives as well as Kenya School of Monetary Studies.

He has hands experience in business development, bank operational risk management, developing, reviewing and training in policies and procedures, implementing product policies and procedures at branch level and business leadership – hiring, training and coaching staff to deliver business results.

During his banking tenure, he was responsible for periodic review of policies and procedures at three local banks – I&M, Equity and Family Bank Ltd, introduced and implemented operational risk training at Equity Bank, and introduced agency banking at Family Bank.

Areas of professional strength include developing business strategy, performance management, development of operational policies & procedures, consulting and training in operational risk management policy and technical skills, and development of leadership training programs. He is a part time lecturer at Co-operative University of Kenya, Management University of Africa, Pan Africa Christian University, Sunderland University @ Intel College and Kenya Institute of Bankers. He is also a consultant at Kenya School of Monetary studies.

Weru holds PhD in Leadership & Management from Management University of Africa, Master of Arts in Leadership (Business & Entrepreneurship) from Pan Africa Christian University and BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester’s Institute of Science & Technology. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) of England, a TVET-CDACC, Certified Competency Based Curriculum Developer, Cooperative University Certified Online Trainer, and a member of the Professional Trainers Association of Kenya.

Joseph Wokabi

MBA, BEd

Joseph Ndirangu Wokabi is a business development, financial management and corporate governance consultant with over 17 years’ experience in business development specifically consulting on product development, product portfolio management, product design, product differentiation and marketing. He is also well versed with credit risk management focusing on interest risk, liquidity risk and operational risk within financial institutions.

He has worked with leading financial institutions in Kenya including Cooperative Bank. During his banking career, he has held various positions in Business Development, operations and customer service and was responsible for the development of various Business Development and customer acquisition programs. In conjunction with Credit Management they developed various risk management and products innovations resulting in balanced credit portfolio.

As a Branch manager in Cooperative Bank-Kenya Joseph led in the implementation of McKinsey Organizational and Financial Reengineering program. He has played key roles in the business development strategy formulation and implementation, operational management and control, monitoring and review of organizational processes, formulation and review of financial and credit policy for the bank. As a consultant for the past three years, Joseph has been involved in the training and development of capacity building programs for various Savings and credit cooperative societies, formulation of credit policies for various financial institutions, product and business development, enterprise risk management for various organizations.

Joseph holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Kenyatta University. He also Holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Economics & Business Studies). He has been attending various short term courses on Financial Management, Digital Finance and Digital Banking to keep abreast with the dynamic financial sector.
